Health is Wealth – Caffeine Powder and the Downside of Energy Drinks
Part of living a prosperous life, is living in wellness: healthy, strong, and fit.
There is sooo much information to share when it comes to the wealth of having ones health intact.
For years now I have watched people consume various brands of energy drinks, cringing inside due to the known risks.
The consumption of these energy drinks is staggering. As with anything in life, reaching for a quick fix of energy rather than eating for energy can have its ramifications.
The Down Side of Energy Drinks
Many energy drinks contain caffeine powder. According to the FDA, one teaspoon of caffeine powder is the equivalent of drinking 28 cups of coffee.
Energy drinks can spike blood pressure, but the spike doesn’t start peaking until like an hour after consumption. And, to make it even worse, the blood flow in the brain decreases.
And according to Dr. McGregor in the following video, energy drinks may also impair artery function. Drinking one big can of Monster Energy drink produced a significant drop in the arteries’ ability to relax normally within 90 minutes.
Barb and I want you to live a full live, including the health of your body, mind, and spirit.
