If you have sugar cravings, and/or crave bread, pasta, pastries, and rice, admit it or not, you have sugar addiction issues.
When I was addicted to sugar I never considered the fact that I was an addict or had a food issue … I just loved sugar and it gave me pleasure. But looking back, I now realize just how much it had me, and wouldn’t let go.
But breaking up was much easier than I ever thought it would be. For a purpose-minded individual, this transformation can happen in as little as a few weeks and provide amazing, rest-of-your-life results.
To ignore the facts, and continue to consume excess sugar, will only keep a person on the path that can lead to sickness, chronic disease, and more heartache.
And as we all know, the definition of insanity is to continue doing what you are doing, and expect to get different results … you can’t fool mother nature, which means you can’t go against God’s design and expect to stay healthy.
35 Reasons to Break UP with Sugar and Stop the Cravings

Blood sugar imbalance … the blood sugar roller coaster highs or crashes. Causes high insulin blood levels, which drive weight gain. Hydrogen water was shown to help with glucose intolerance, regulation of blood glucose, glucose uptake, and insulin signaling.
-
Sugar reduces BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) in your brain. BDNF is a protein produced inside your nerve cells to help your brain to communicate and function properly.
-
Increases the risk of cancer, and lowers cellular frequency (vibrational energy).
-
Fatty liver disease (though you may not drink alcohol, excess sugar, especially fructose, causes fatty liver disease, likened to the effects of alcohol).

High blood pressure.

Increase uric acid levels which are a risk factor for heart and kidney disease.
-
Many reports say that sugar increases inflammation. Inflammation if left to continue can worsen and cause other numerous health issues, including inflammation in the brain. The main connection between sugar and inflammation: if a person eating a diet high in sugar consumption, they are most likely eating foods like donuts, dairy, and meat, and consuming alot of saturated and trans fat that drives inflammation.
-

Increases the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
-
Works against proper thyroid function.

Sugar can impair the structure of DNA, and change the structure of a protein.
-

Here is a downside of all the reports that demonize sugar. Yes, sugar in processed foods should be demonized, but many have crossed over and avoided eating fruit because fruit contains sugar. Whole food is healthy and should be part of one’s diet. It’s when we remove the fiber and turn it into pure fruit juice is where we get into trouble. Pure fruit juice is like mainlining fructose and goes straight to the liver and causes fatty liver disease, as mentioned above.
-
The more sugar you eat, the more you want … it’s addictive. Uses the same pleasure pathway in the brain as cocaine, but sugar is more addictive!
-
Excess sugar consumption goes against God’s design of your body and living a life of vibrancy. God never intended for us to consume such massive amounts of sugar as we see today. It’s another ploy of the enemy to rob us of the abundant life Jesus came to give us.
